Vijay Garg,
Chairman Punjab State council, ASSOCHAM, and Managing Director, Vivachem said,
“Ludhiana is a major industrial center of northern India famous for its Apparel
industry, Manufacturing woolen garments and hosiery apparel, hand tools and
industrial equipment, bicycle manufacturing, bicycle parts, and metals
fabrication. Although exports from the city have increased in the last decade,
we feel that the potential that exists in Ludhiana is still largely unexplored.
The upcoming session will provide some very good insights to business owners
from Ludhiana to
ramp up exports through the SAIF zone."
ASSOCHAM has
been aligned with the government initiatives to promote MSMEs and has initiated
a series of engagements to achieve this goal. The Interactive session being
organized on June 24 in Ludhiana is
part of ASSOCHAM’s initiatives to promote Indian MSMEs by connecting them with
global organizations. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has long
been an attractive destination for entrepreneurs worldwide because of its
well-developed and diversified economy, excellent infrastructure and transport
links, and a unique low tax regime. But while these may be the factors that get
the headlines, there’s another major reason why so many flocks to the UAE’s
shores to conduct business - Free Zones. Also known as free trade zones, these are economic
areas where goods and services can be traded. Free trade zones attract 0%
tax rates, 100% Ownership, preferential customs duty rates, and 100% import and
export tax exemption.
The session
will focus on explaining the
benefits of starting a business in SAIF Zone and how Indian companies can take
advantage of making their base in the UAE and exporting to the rest of the world. BW
