ASSOCHAM congratulates new Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann; assures full support for economic progress


Chandigarh: Industry association ASSOCHAM congratulated Bhagwant Mann on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Punjab and looked forward to working in close cooperation with his administration to build a stronger and future-ready state.

"I congratulate Bhagwant Mann on being sworn in as the CM of Punjab. Punjab holds a vital role in the overall development of the nation and we at ASSOCHAM look forward to working with him and his team for creating more jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities for the youth of the state," said A S Mittal, Chairman ASSOCHAM North Regional Council.

While congratulating Mann  for taking oath as Chief Minister of Punjab, Kulwin Seehra, Chairman ASSOCHAM Punjab Development Council said, “Punjab industry has a lot of expectations from Bhagwant Mann’s government and ASSOCHAM believes that he will bring a new revolution to the industry of Punjab with his new and energetic ideas.”

He said the chamber would work shoulder-to-shoulder in promoting new industries, trade and agriculture, and in leveraging rich natural and human resources of the state.

“Mann brings in a young and energetic leadership to Punjab and his out-of-box ideas would be supported by the Indian industry in all spheres of the state economy, be it industry, trade or agriculture,'' ASSOCHAM Secretary General, Deepak Sood said.

“The state is amongst the top rankers in agriculture; its educational institutions are of global standards. We are confident, the new Government would fully utilise all the resources towards ushering in an inclusive progress,'' Sood said.

“Bhagwant Mann is a son of the soil, and we are sure that industry in Punjab will flourish under his leadership. We extend full cooperation and support to Punjab government in taking the industry of Punjab to next level,” said Simarpreet Singh, Chairman, ASSOCHAM Chandigarh UT Development, and Director, Hartek Group.

He said the ASSOCHAM would be looking forward to host Mr Mann and his team and would be happy to join him in drawing up a new strategy for an all-round progress of the state. BW
