GAIL India commemorates 37th Foundation Day

New Delhi: On the occasion of the 37th Foundation Day of GAIL (India) Limited, Shri Manoj Jain, CMD applauded the contribution of GAIL employees who are relentlessly working on projects of national importance for a better future, despite current constraints due to Covid pandemic. 

The journey of GAIL, which started from the single project Hazira – Vijaipur – Jagdishpur pipeline, today has presence across the natural gas (NG) value chain like NG marketing and transmission, LNG, LPG production and transmission, petrochemicals, other Liquid Hydrocarbon, Exploration & Production and City Gas Distribution.

Presently, It has a Natural Gas pipeline network of 12,400 km and is further working on another 7,000 km projects of national importance to reach the furthest corners of the country. Phase 2 of the Kochi – Kottanad – Mangaluru – Bengaluru pipeline is going to be commissioned shortly though it has been an uphill task of meeting technological challenges. GAIL group companies has also spread wings in CGD network, catering to 67% of total 61 lakh domestic PNG connections in the country.
